Classes & Park Days
Q: |
When and where do you meet? |
A: |
We meet every Tuesday for Park Days in Guilford County. Our secular classes take place on Thursdays and are organized into 6-week quarters—two quarters in the Fall and two in the Spring. |
Q: |
What is your class schedule like? |
A: |
We offer secular classes for members ages 5-18, with different classes available each quarter. Classes meet once a week for six-week quarters, with two quarters in the Fall and two in the Spring. Our Thursday class schedule includes sessions at 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, and 1 pm. |
Q: |
Do I need to stay while my child is in class? |
A: |
EACH does not provide childcare services. Parents are required to stay with their children between classes. EACH is not responsible for children during this time, and we ask that a parent or guardian remain on site. We have plenty of outdoor space to wait, along with some indoor seating. There is a playground on site and ample parking available. |
Q: |
Do you offer the same classes each session? |
A: |
Most classes change each quarter, but occasionally a class series will run, or popular classes may return regularly. Our classes are designed to be enrichment-based. Some examples of past classes are: How to Make People Buy Doritos, Sew a Plushie, Medieval Mythology, Intro to Animation, Legends & Lore of D&D, Street Foods from Türkiye, Stuffed Animal Medical Clinic, Improv, LEGO Stop Motion Animation, Adventures of the Social Labyrinth, Fun Fitness, Basketball, Disc Golf, ASL Incorporated, Minecraft Animal Adventures, Little Explorers: Geography and Map Making for Littles, Sustainable Life Skills in the Upside Down, Art and History, Dinosaurs, and many more! |
Q: |
Are there activities for Teens? |
A: |
Yes! We love our teens! We have an active group that enjoys park days, classes, Teen Club, and various events we organize. We encourage parents to help plan events their teens are interested in and invite others to attend. We also have a Google Chat for teens to stay updated on activities and socialize, along with a Discord server just for them. |
Q: |
What kind of classes can I teach? |
A: |
Classes at EACH are designed to be age-appropriate, objective, and secular. We aim to provide enrichment opportunities to our members, with classes that can be either enrichment-based or academic in any subject. You do not need to be a member to teach. If you're interested in teaching or have any questions, please reach out to the Classes Director. |
Class Scholarships
Q: |
Does EACH offer Class Scholarships? |
A: |
Yes, we aim to ensure that all our members can attend at least one secular class per session. We understand that costs may be a barrier for some families, so we offer class scholarships to help. The number of available scholarships depends on the funds in our scholarship account, which are supported by donations and fundraising efforts. To apply, please complete the class scholarship application for your child each quarter. |
Q: |
How can I contribute to the EACH scholarship fund or make a donation to EACH? |
A: |
Please visit our Support page to explore several ways you can help: donating directly to EACH, sponsoring a child or family, linking your Harris Teeter VIC card to EACH of Greensboro, purchasing through EACH’s TruEarth link, or buying an EACH T-shirt or sweatshirt. EACH of Greensboro is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, so your donations are tax-deductible. If you need a receipt for tax purposes, please email the Treasurer. Thank you for supporting EACH! |
